Journle Terms of Use

Agreement to These Terms
By downloading, purchasing, or using Journle, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, your use of the app is also subject to applicable Apple terms, including the App Store terms and any applicable Apple end user license terms.
License
We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use Journle for your personal, non‑commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You may not:
Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law
Use the app in a way that interferes with its operation
Use the app for unlawful or abusive purposes
Your Content
You retain ownership of the journal content you create in the app.
You are responsible for the content you write and for maintaining access to your device and iCloud account.
We do not claim ownership of your journal entries. We only handle them as necessary to operate the app and its storage/syncing features.
Subscriptions
Journle may offer an auto‑renewing subscription.
If you purchase a subscription through Apple:
Payment will be charged to your Apple account
The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Account renewal charges are handled by Apple
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings after purchase
Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, including features, storage methods, pricing, or availability.
We may also make changes needed for security, legal compliance, or platform requirements.
iCloud and Apple Services
Some app functionality depends on Apple services, including iCloud / CloudKit and the App Store.
We are not responsible for downtime, unavailability, account issues, or service limitations caused by Apple, your network connection, or your device environment.
Disclaimer
Journle is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.
The app is intended as a reflective writing tool. It is not medical care, mental health treatment, crisis support, or emergency service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Bar Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these Terms or use the app in a harmful, abusive, or unlawful manner.
You may stop using the app at any time by discontinuing use and canceling any subscription through Apple if applicable.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Tennessee, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide notice where appropriate.
